ANNE JULBE

ANNE JULBE

FRANCE

Dr. Anne Julbe graduated Ing. (MSc.) in the Chair of Materials Science. She obtained
her PhD in 1989, for the development of sol-gel derived SiC and SiO2 membranes and
materials. In 1989 she received a tenure researcher position at the CNRS, in the group
of Prof. Louis Cot (ENSCM- University of Montpellier- France). She initiated an activity
on ceramic membranes for gas separation and catalytic reactors, namely with
nanophase oxides and zeolites. In 2002, she defended her Habilitation thesis on the
"Contribution of Material Science to the development of Membrane reactors" and got
the position of CNRS-Directeur de Recherche in 2004. She led a research department
on the "Design of Membrane Materials and Multifunctional systems" in the period 2010-
2014, and is now leading a research team in the area of "Molecules, colloids and
porous materials" at the Institut Européen des Membranes (IEM) in Montpellier. She is
co-author of over 240 publications in the area of membrane materials, including 160
publications in peer reviewed international journals, 40 referred proceedings, 26 book
chapters and 12 patents. She was (co)promotor of 30 PhDs. Her current interests
include the design and on-line characterization of original nanostructured
multifunctional membranes for applications in gas or liquid separations, catalytic
reactors, gas sensors and electrochemical systems.
