MIEKE LUITEN-OLIEMAN
Dr. Ing. Mieke Luiten-Olieman received her Ph.D. degree in 2012 after she worked for more than 8
years as a research assistant at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. From 2012-2018,
she was the project leader of many short-term commercial/scientific projects with the aim of
solving company-based problems or research questions. From 2018 till now, her research has
been focused on creating sustainable solutions for the energy-efficient reuse of minerals or
solvents with novel techniques like Atomic or Molecular Layer deposition and Interfacial Hybrid
Nanofilm formation. Her main interests are also low-fouling silicon carbide membranes, recovery
of valuable metal with membrane crystallization, and interfacial hybrid nanofilm formation.
